The Civil War Letters of Pvt. Willard A. Cutter, 150th Pennsylvania Regiment, Company K.

This collection contains the letters (handwritten with typed transcripts) of Willard A. Cutter, a private in the 150th Pennsylvania Regiment, Company K. The company was also known as Lincoln’s Guard. The letters are to his mother, Eliza Cutter, and his two brothers, George Cutter and William Cutter, all of Meadville, Pennsylvania. The letters were written from Soldier’s Home, the White House and Washington, D.C.
Willard A. Cutter of Meadville, Pennsylvania enlisted on August 29, 1862. He was assigned to Company K. He mustered out of service on June 15, 1865.
