Abstract
In 2019, I formed an improvisational music group "The Vamplifiers" that recorded every time we ever got together, both rehearsing and public performances (that were purposefully limited to art galleries). When everyone was told to social distance (stay home), etc. this band was shutdown. Three out of four of us have enough computer savvy that we were able to record via file sharing. On March 17, 2020 I recorded the initial part on St. Patrick's Day at my home studio in Cambridge Springs, PA, hence the name "Saint Covid Day", a day that was supposed to be a big party day for most of America, but was in fact at the front end of a very long stay at home order. I have two other contributors to the instrumental original, Tom Weber-keyboards and Vince Brocki-percussion. They recorded their parts (both at their home studios in Erie, PA) in the weeks that followed. We, along with our drummer Geo Stabile, have not been together since February 2020. Prior to the pandemic, we were in fact trying to find a date to perform in AC Physics Dept.'s planetarium, but that was and is not to be...
