Abstract
In the month of March 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic started and you couldn't travel the world like normal. The restrictions and protocols that most countries enforced switched the trajectory of tourism and a lot of European countries struggled from this event. This research shows how COVID-19 made it very difficult for countries in Europe to have the same striving economy they had before the pandemic. Many of these countries have some of the biggest tourist attractions in the world and because of the pandemic, they were shut down which made a very noticeable difference in international expenditure and domestic and international trips numbers.
