Abstract
In respect to vetting software, or verifying its long-term integrity, there is no one-size-fits-all solution, let alone a large-scale application to satisfy such a need. In this paper, the prospects of developing a comprehensive analytical tool to evaluate the maintenance of software repositories are explored. EvaluRate serves as a means of effectively assessing a variety of metrics to determine the overall quality of the maintenance given to a software repository in GitHub. The operations of EvaluRate span across a grand multitude of repositories, and the results are compiled into a single report, that is additionally publicly available for users to access.
