Abstract
Food insecurity is a global health threat that violates the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. In France, this problem disproportionately affects certain groups, including single-parent families, people with low levels of education, migrants, and refugees, and those living in poverty-stricken regions. The findings suggest that food insecurity in France is a denominator of poverty in certain regions, with Le Monde Diplomatique reporting eight million people falling victim to hunger. This thesis focuses on the perspectives of food insecurity in France, specifically examining the impacts of food insecurity and food distribution as it affects the body functions and the development of a certain country Additionally, there was an examination of the policies and solutions created by the French government, the European Union and the United Nations. The methodology used in this thesis was based on a literature review of primary sources from various databases, including PubMed, JStor, Le Monde Diplomatique, United Nations, and others. The study recorded information on France's historical and political background, economy, geography, agriculture, and demography. This paper will have a comprehensive conclusion as to why this issue exists in a developed country.
