Abstract
Following the steps of the research previously done by Anthony Aveni, I was able to examine the archaeoastronomy of the newly found archeological site, Altar de los Reyes in Campeche, Mexico. There is clear evidence the Maya designed the west acropolis to observe astronomical events to track the time of year. This result confirms that the Maya had accurate observations of planetary objects.
